Matthew T. Russell is currently Executive Vice President, LNG, with global responsibility for Siemens’ LNG portfolio, inclusive of operations, business development, strategy, finance, and commercial. Prior to assuming his current role, he served as Vice President, Gas-to-Power, with global responsibility for the strategy, business development, and captive finance aspects of the company’s LNG portfolio. Mr Russell joined Siemens in 2017 following a 10-year career at KBR.

Upon his departure from KBR, Mr Russell was leading business development for the company’s LNG business, responsible for new business acquisition and commercial activities associated with KBR’s LNG Business. He assumed this position in May 2015 after returning from London, where he served as KBR’s Head of Business Development for the Europe, Africa, and Middle East downstream market.

Previously Mr Russell was based in Saudi Arabia, serving as Director of Business Development for KBR’s Downstream Business in the Middle East, responsible for KBR’s new business acquisition across the GCC and Iraq. While in the Middle East he established KBR’s 400-person joint venture in Saudi Arabia, KBR-AMCDE.

Mr Russell began his career in the energy sector in 2003 as a project engineer with MACTEC (now AMEC). Mr. Russell earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from The Ohio State University in 2003 and received a master’s degree in business from the University of Delaware in 2007. While earning his MBA Mr. Russell was a summer associate at BMW and was the founder of the Delaware Sport’s commission. While at Ohio State, Mr. Russell was a member of Ohio State’s 2002 National Championship Football Team.

Mr Russell has a passion for strategy and people development. He recently completed a nine-month executive leadership program with DDI. He and his wife, Amy, currently reside in Texas with their three children: Ella, Andrew, and Katherine.
